Julie Chen Moonves will host the summer hit reality series Big Brother. The show will return to CBS on August 5 for its 2nd season. Chen Moonves has been involved in The Talk since 2010, in which she served as both moderator and host. Her true love in life was writing. In fact, she received an Emmy. She also won an Emmy for hosting an excellent entertainment talk show. The show was hosted by her co-hosts CBS News weekday morning show The Early Show between 2002 until 2010. Prior to that, she was the CBS Morning News anchor and the host of The Early Show. The anchor was escorted to Cairo in the aftermath of 9/11, and she conducted an intense and thrilling conversation with the father of 9/11's main hijacker. Chen Moonves has interviewed newsmakers such as the former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani and the Queen Rania of Jordan and the former Defence Secretary William Cohen, and celebrities including Denzel Washington, Angelina Jolie, Kanye West, Taylor Swift, Viola Davis, Tom Hanks, Mary J. Blige, Bruce Springsteen, Tom Cruise, Ben Affleck, Barbra Streisand, Betty White, Jamie Foxx, Scarlett Johansson, Katie Holmes, Matthew McConaughey, Chris Rock, Mel Brooks, Robert DeNiro, and Jennifer Lopez. Chen Moonves has also worked at CBS's New York City station WCBS as a reporter anchor as well as a producer (1997-1999). Before joining CBS News from 1995 Chen Moonves had been a reporter at WDTN TV Dayton. In her final semester at university, she worked as an assistant at ABC News in Los Angeles (1990-1991) and was producer for ABC NewsOne (the network's affiliated news program). Her first job was as an assistant at ABC News, working on the late-night show Nightline together with Ted Koppel. Ted Koppel is still among Moonves' journalistic heros. Chen Moonves worked with Koppel on the Columbia du-Pont-winning primetime special, Anatomy of a Riot, which examined the 1992 Los Angeles riots.
